Im back! After a long time.
10am - Pleased to be travelling with a friend and a colleague today - both kindly guested through TFW with a lovely check-in staff (it helped that 3 young men flirted with him 🤣🤣 )
one data point: Lhr-PVG (Shanghai) CW-F AUP was £725. Declined.
11:30am - Fast forward a few champagne bottles; very annoying that many toilets are out of order. It was quicker to go into the terminal to pee!
12:30 - Gate A20 meant I could wait until boarding began
it was a bit messy but I was relaxed after a few (bottles of) Henriot), I managed to put my bag above me and settle into 1A.
From A20 down the other end, 27L had a little holding but we left the gate early so its alright.
1330 on the runway headed to the skies. Nice view of the castle as we head right, right & right again in the direction of Deutschland. Bumpy, ja!
1340 seat belt signs off.
1348 food time. Giant prawn & salmon salad, or a veggie poke bowl. Took the meatier option, with a glass of Pannier bubbles.
1358 given Im not eating so much these days, my meal is over & I hand my tray back in exchange for a top up 🥂. Less calories in drinks, right?
1405 the crew are good - taken a sip of my champers & they top it up already! I settle in to my new book: the YES book by Clive Rich.
1435 I dont like the book. 56 pages in. Has anyone else read it, and should I carry on? Last few drops of champers empty into my glass.
1445 Im still thirsty. Crew offer me no judgement champagne and open another bottle.
1445 10 mins to landing. This works well, as I have a drinks reception at 5pm uk time and feel sufficiently lubricated.
1458 touchdown! Sun is shining. Wish me luck with the clients 😇😅
