Hello Folks
I'll try to keep this crisp.
As the title teases, I been thinking for the longest time, that why can't we have a similar event like a StarMegaDo in India?
Some may say we are a small community of AvGeeks and FF's in India but I would disagree wholeheartedly. I know loads of like minded people on twitter and I see plenty here on FT as well.
I know we don't have the manufacturing facilities like the Americans/Europeans do, but we can certainly speak with airlines for a tour of their hangar/maintenance facilities etc, along with other things to be organised around it.
To be honest, I have been lucky to organise couple of AvGeek meet-ups here in Delhi, in the past year or so. Usually we all meet, eat, drink & talk shop but I was thinking add a bit more interactivity would make it awesome, isn't?
Hint: Star Alliance induction event usually draws CEOs of all member airlines, special plane livery, events, lots of media hoopla.
What do you guys think?
