Who else received their lifetime Admirals Club card this week? I received mine today.
I had a lifetime US club card thanks to buying a TWA lifetime card in the early 80s. I think I paid $600. A couple years later, TWA and Piedmont partnered in some form, now forgotten by me. What I do remember is that I could buy a lifetime card for Piedmont for $100. Even in my fledgling career stage that was a no brainer. Time went by and Piedmont was acquired by US. My Piedmont card became a lifetime US card. TWA went under, its assets were acquired by AA, and AA only gave 2 years of Admirals Club membership.
And now AA and US have merged, and I have my lifetime AA card. Who would have thought that the industry would have gone thru such twists and turns.
