24 hours stop on award ticket

I know that <24 hour stop on international award ticket is just a connection, and >24 hours is a stopover, but what is exactly 24 hours.

I want to book a ticket with a stop of exactly 24 hours in Hong Kong. Will this use my stopover, or can I pass it off as a connection?
