I've flown from EWR twice in the past month. Both flights were in what I would classify as the AM peak hours and involved clearing TSA between 7 and 9:30 AM. In both cases the Pre line just brought you to the TSA podium where you got a card which exempted you from the nuda-a scope but required that you take your computer and other items out of your bag and wait with everyone else for the single bag screening line behind a large number of people who didn't know what they were doing. On both occasions it took over 15 minutes to get through after clearing the podium.
I asked one of the TSA screeners if the PreCheck bag screening equipment was ever in use and got a non-committal response with a look that implied that it was never staffed.
Does anyone know if there is ever "Full Pre" including bag screening at EWR B?
