5 misdemeanors and 2 probation violations on my criminal record. These offenses are 6-10+ years old now. Misdemeanors include 3 offenses for being caught with alcohol under age 21, being caught driving with a suspended license, and being caught with a "switchblade" (it was not, the knife is sold on Amazon, in Walmart, and local brick and mortar stores). I also have 2 probation violations....for being caught with alcohol.
Anyways. Now I travel for work a lot, and I want to avoid security lines. I don't neeeed Global Entry, but GE is only a few dollars more than TSA PreCheck, and I wouldn't mind the expedited security process while going on vacation (or being asked to go fly into Canada for work). So I figured Global Entry it is.
During the application process I realized, I might spend $100 over nothing here. And I did some searches. I realize people with just one simple misdemeanor even have been denied, yet alone a litany of stupidity that I have done in my high school/college days. So I wonder, is it even worth it? After reading what I have read, I would consider myself extremely unlikely to get approved for this.
Also, does TSA PreCheck have easier screen requirements? I am not a bad person, seriously.....
