I did something stupid last week - and I've only just noticed: Booked myself on a 40 minute connection from NWI to HAM for a trip in July.
Last time I did a non-Schengen to Schengen connection it took me about 20 minutes to get through - and that was with only three people in front of me (I could have pushed ahead of the queue, waving my Privium card - but chose not to as I thought it was going to be quick). But I won't bore you with that story...
It occurred to me that, with my Privium card, it may be quicker to go landside - last time I departed AMS for a Schengen flight I had a whole security lane to myself as it was "Privium only". I was wondering if someone with more recent experience could confirm if there is still a dedicated security checkpoint for Privium holders only? I vaguely remember reading something about construction work and temporary changes, so I thought I'd better check.
And what would other Privium holders recommend? Stay airside and hope for the best, or detour via landside?
