payment cards from other countries

Apologies if the answer to this is buried in the sticky somewhere; I couldn't find anything immediately obvious.

My BAEC account is registered to my address in the UK - nothing unusual there.

I paid for the most recent booking I made using a payment card issued by a Belgian bank, although the primary address for this is also the same address as the BAEC account is registered to. However, I'm unable to make any changes to this booking on ba.com, and am instead told to contact my local BA office. Presumably this is down to the payment coming from a non-UK source.

My query is therefore - should I be changing my registered BAEC address to my address in Belgium as this is going to be the case for future bookings also. Does changing the country on the main ba.com home page make any difference other than ensuring that prices and such like get displayed in euros?

The outbound flight in each booking is from the UK.

Any sense that can be brought to my utter confusion would be most gratefully received.
