I fly in and out of NRT a fair amount, never connecting; NRT is always the starting or stopping point. This week, OKA (Okinawa Naha) to NRT connecting to UA 880 to HNL. Booked through UA on 061 ticket stock with UA flight number for the ANA flight (it is ANA flt 2158).
- The ANA website is hugely clunky and won't display the flight. It notes that it can't display the domestic segment of international flights...
- Any quirks to check in in Oki with an ongoing UA flight?
- Baggage fetch and re-check in NRT or will they check to HNL? IF they will check through, is it the best idea (4+ hours in NRT)?
- Will the ANA check-in check me in to the UA flight?
- Any way to upgrade or even request seating?
The pseudo absent ANA web presence makes all this a little less clear than the usual code-share connection. Thus asking those of you who do it frequently is my plan.
