Flew BA173 LHR-JFK today (21/09/14), operated by G-CIVJ
Struck me as quite odd how there was no curtain between CW and WT on the left hand side of the aircraft. On the right hand aisle there was the usual curtain in position but on the left there were just two ropes drilled into the divider boards that attached to each other in the middle.
Not particularly important on a day flight but I can imagine the light, noise etc from WT would be quite annoying without a curtain on an overnight.
I don't fly low-J 744s that often and was quite shocked at how close the last row of CW was to the first of WT. In fact numerous WT passengers would approach the rope on a walk and would place their hands on the side board of 20D whilst stretching...
Just some observations really, and I wonder why BA didn't replace curtain (the rail and attachment things were still there) and chose instead to install a rope. It didn't look like a temporary fix either.
Anyone else experienced this?
