Tuscaloosa National Airport is planning to recruit a commercial airline, possibly Delta Air Lines or SkyWest Airlines, to launch service between Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Atlanta.
The city of Tuscaloosa is asking the government for a $750,000 grant to "support the launch of a new commercial airline service between the Tuscaloosa National Airport and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport," according to a letter to the U.S. Department of Transportation from Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox.
