Question about Mileage Earning on AC Codeshare Flight with UA

Hello everyone,

I have a reservation of 4 flights that I booked on United.com from the US to Canada and vice versa. The 1st connecting flight is operated by Air Canada (United codeshare). When I bought it on UA.com, the entire reservation was listed as "G" class and the Air Canada website says that, too. However, after calling the Air Canada customer service number, they even said that they see it's G class because it's a United-issued ticket, but they also see it marketed as a "K" class ticket. On Air Canada's website it says "lowest" economy class.

"G" class on AC for International flights (I believe that US-Canada flights are not domestic) earn 100% and "K" class always earns 25%. "G" class on United Airlines earns 50%. United says that the class listed on my ticket will be the one that should be honored. AC reps said that since this is a United ticket and United is operating 3/4 flights, then I should get the credit for a "G" class ticket.... This is very confusing since I'm looking to renew my TK status.... Who should I believe? I'm usually very conservative, so I want to err on the fact that TK will reflect a "K" class. Am I right or is AC and UA right? Thanks!
