I wanted to get some advice on this situation:
Facts:
Wife travels but will need help to achieve Premier Gold with the $5k PQD requirement this year. Her company pays for airfare but none of it qualified for PQDs.
We both got offers for the MP Explorer card with 50k mile bonus and she got the Club card offer with the $395 annual fee waived.
What I plan to do:
Get a credit card a year and spend $25k/year to meet the PQD requirement. I would cancel each card at the end of the year to avoid annual fees.
Questions:
1. If I am the primary card holder and she is an authorized user, will she get credit if we achieve $25k in spend per year?
2. Is there another way to think about this problem?
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks FT'ers!
