I have noticed that quite often my IAH-SAT flights do not have beverage service due to "expected turbulence" along the route and that FA's will need to stay seated for the entirety of the flight.
Well, the fact of the matter is that 80% of the time, I don't observe any turbulence at all. When I fly this route, it is usually 7PM or later. Do you think that there is an end-of-the-day attitude and that the Captains are intentionally relieving the FA's of their duties (due to over-inflated reports of severe turbulence?).
I'm not all that peeved... just curious if there are any other similar experiences.
