Many I know will be pleased with this news –

The shuttered – never to re -opened- ‘The Bridge’ is rising like a Phoenix – well not exactly but it is being refurbished with familiar elements from Cathay’s current Ilse Crawford lounge template and is said to be open in time for the Christmas rush.

That’s the good news now –

“The Wing First lounge will close for an extensive renovation towards end of this year,” Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer & Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau mentioned “with a targeted reopening date of “end of 2025 or early 2026.” After which it will be the turn of ‘The Wing’ business class for a makeover.

The Bridge will temporarily become a First Class lounge when The Wing First closes and then later as a Business Class lounge when the Wing First reopens. The Bridge’s footprint spans a huge 2,560m2 with capacity for 450 passengers – around the same size as the current The Wing Business Class lounge.

And there is yet to come another new signature Cathay Lounge when the current terminal(s) building is finalised.
