Hi everyone,
Just as a data point, I recently booked an award ticket for an older family member, departing US, on TK. When checking in, they were asked questions like "how much did you pay for this ticket", "how do you know the account holder", "how many points did you spend" etc. The rep was reading the questions from a printed form. Luckily, I was there to assist with the check in, so there were no issues. If they were traveling alone it could have been problematic because they don't know anything about FF and miles. So, if you're booking an award ticket for an older person, it might be good to give them a heads up, or just write a note stating your relationship. I guess TK is cracking down on those who are selling award tickets for cash.
