Maybe a weird question; not sure which thread to post it in.
I have a Business Flex fare. I want to extend my stay at the destination and (naively) thought that I could simply change the return date for no fee (and only pay the fare difference). Unfortunately, even when the fare difference seems very small, the change is for some reason very expensive (€600+). I presume the change also alters fare rules etc? It makes more sense for me to cancel the ticket and purchase a new one entirely.
When I go through the online process to request a refund, it shows that a full refund will be provided. My question is, how long does it take to receive a refund from the moment I submit the request? Does it make a difference if I do it Mon-Fri or at the weekend? I am asking because ideally I would want the refund to hit my account before I pay for the new flight. At the same time, I would not want to wait too long and risk for the fare I have found to be lost.
Thank you!
