Advice on where to credit flights pls!

Hi all

I’m hoping for some advice from those more in the know re. VSFC. Sorry for the long explanation.

I have some flights coming up and trying to work out where I am best to credit them.

I have booked:

LHR-ATL on VS in UC
ATL-MSY on DL in Business
MSY-JFK on DL in First
JFK-LHR on VS in UC

All are fare class “I”. If it makes a difference, the outbound are ticketed on Air France and inbound on Virgin. I think on VS this trip would give me Silver status on its own?

I currently have Air France FB Gold status and no status on Virgin FC. I had originally added my AFFB number to the booking but now wondering if I’d be better to credit to Virgin and build up some status.

If it helps, I’m London-based and don’t fly a huge amount. Leisure flight 1-2 times per year and the occasional business travel like the one above.

Ultimately I don’t know if AF or VS programmes are particularly better than each other or better to build up status in both.
