E190 v. A320 in very bad weather

I am booked down to southern Spain on Thursday, when very bad weather is forecast across Spain. The routing is likely to involve strong winds etc.

I have a choice of an ex-LCY and an ex-LHR flight and would prefer to take the LCY flight. Question is whether the flight is likely to be more uncomfortable in a small E190 than in a (not quite so small) A320.

Any thoughts appreciated.
