I was supposed to fly to Europe this Friday with SAS. I wanted to fly back to the US on Sunday morning with Finnair. I have the ticket since three weeks, and I am in contact with them since three weeks regarding a dog crate in the cargo hold. The size fits, there is availability, the dog is vaccinated and announced at CDC in the US. The service is expensive, basically like a second ticket. But they never let me pay for the dog, they always said, the payment link will come two days before the flight, but my service is confirmed (see pic). You guess it. Now they don't have "availability" for the dog anymore. Maybe they take ten bookings and then do a lottery? This is totally insane. I have a flight with another airline, I have a hotel booked, I took days off from my job. I am totally devastated.
Don't use Finnair. If you have the contact information for their legal department, feel free to PM me. I emailed already my lawyer.
