I somewhat rashly booked CW BA11 / BA12 end Jan/start Feb whilst looking for 2-for-1 voucher reward flights. It cost £1250 total, plus 220,000 Avios. I booked it as soon as I saw it, as the voucher expires June, and we rarely seem to find flights to use them. I thought it would be quite easy/cheap to change later, rather than risk losing the option.
Anyway, now I've done it, have a few concerns/questions for alternatives.
1. I was disappointed it seems to be the old CW, not Club Suite (perhaps why it was even available). Is this a good use of 220k Avios + £1250?
2. We don't actually want to stay in SIN, but thought it would be a good hub. We're thinking of Ko Samui, but would like any OW suggestions.
3. If we did go to Ko Samui, I see it's bookable on BA with the second leg on Bangkok Airways, with just a 1h25m layover. If I booked the second leg separately, is that enough time? Would it be better to try to add to reward booking?
4. Finally, just a step back to ask if there are any better options for late Jan that would give us good weather, and a Club Suite (or equivalent) seat?
