SAS seems to be the only major airline I have ever flown with where you can not request a special meal on their website. I called them today in the US. The guy in the call center hardly spoke English. Did not really know what a Gluten Free meal is and asked several times to have it spelled. Later he said I booked via an OTA and have to contact them for the special meal.
I had to change my flight twice and had to pay nearly 500 USD. I don't have any receipt for this (taxes). The OTA handled it but says SAS billed me and hence the OTA won't give me a payment confirmation.
Miles. SAS changed alliances between my flight to the US and my flight back. I put my Star Alliance number in the booking, but the miles never appeared in my TK account. I emailed TK two months later, and the miles are in my account now. TK is a great airline!
Now I would have to change my Frequent Flyer Number since SAS changed. Not possible, I should talk to my OTA.
Last, but not least, they don't transport dogs into the US.
They don't have customer chat on their Website.
