Thx again for the good advice in another thread re connection times in SYD and MEL for flights I'm taking next month to and from Hobart. Now I have a something of a mystery regarding those flights.
For both of them, the booking seems valid, the seats assigned and the reservations listed as confirmed when I check the reservtions, except I'm being the given the option to "Accept/Change." When I click on that option, I'm informed that my flight has been disrupted and when I click through again I'm informed it's been canceled. On a positive note, however, I'm then being numerous options for getting from PER to HBA and back, on both the dates I'd booked and a few days on either side of those dates. (By the way, I've received no emails informing me of any changes or cancellations.)
When I check on the Qantas site simply to see if the same flights I reserved are available as revenue purchases, I see that they are.
FWIW, both my PER-SYD-HBA and HBA-MEL-PER reservations had changes of about ten minutes in one of the flight departure times. And both are (business class) award bookings made through American.
So is this just a glitch for which the reservations are still good, or a legitimate problem (or an opportunity, for that matter, since I might be able to change the flights to a different day or time if I wish)? Unless advised otherwise here, I'll of course call Qantas to clarify. But if there's something I'm missing in being mystified, I'd welcome advice.
Thanks for any help.
