There have been a few Tongan threads started in the old days but not much that I can see more recently. The hotels there don't look like much to write home about with very mixed reviews. So I wondered what you folks have to say has anyone been there more recently? If so, where did you stay? What hotels might you recommend?
There's the International Dateline Hotel which is reportedly 3 star but some argue if that. Tukulolo Grounds scores well on Booking.com and features tree houses. Could be fun, albeit simple.
We are, however, only there for one night on the main island, flying in an out of TBU, so the beautiful looking Serenity Beaches Resort and likely Fafa Island Resort won't suit us. Perhaps next time!
Some of the pics of the Kupesi Tonga look alright, but the Google reviews are extremely low. Katea Retreat?
