term for what I'm trying to do (?)

I would like to fly from a midwest airport to MNL. I would also like to break the trip up so I can stay a few days in destinations/stops along the route to MNL. For example, ORD to SFO to HNL to MNL--with 2 days in SFO then 4 days in HNL.

Is there a term for that? Or is it just buying a series of one-way fares and choosing the departing date to accommodate my stay in the stopover cities?
