I received an email on 2/28/2025 from American Airlines AAdvantage Program <AmericanAirlines@info.ms.aa.com>. It says:
Great news you now have until March 31, 2026 to use systemwide upgrades earned during the 2024 status qualification year. This applies to systemwide upgrades earned since March 1, 2024 and any new systemwide upgrades you earn through February 28, 2025.
Keep in mind systemwide upgrades are now valid through the AAdvantage® membership year.
I spent an hour with AA Exec Plat staff and did not get my 2024 SWU awarded on 3/11/2024 extended. It still expires 3/11/2025, what am I missing or who do I need to talk with?
The staff said that applies to my 2025 SWU's. Well those don't need to be extended, so there is no need to mention that is great news!
