I booked a one way flight from outside the US to the US and booked Jetblue Blue which means I could cancel or make changes without any fees. Most flights I booked with Jetblue is Jetblue Blue because of that and you have option to choose a seat.
I noticed that the flight I booked is a bit cheaper now. Previously when this happened, I would change the flight and then receive the remaining balance as Jetblue Travel Bank so I have done this a few times.
My question is when you do this and change the flight, is there a chance that the seat you picked earlier but be taken during that time it takes for you to make the change? Has it happened to anyone? I done this many times and it hasn't happened. The reason is because I don't want a middle seat and even though there are still aisle seats available showing, some are a bit further back than I like. Now when you change a flight, how often does a price change happen? If it does during the time frame you do this change, do you lose the price you got from your earlier booked flight and get the much higher price? I recall whenever I make a change to the same flight for a lower cost, I would do this during the day or before midnight as it seems around midnight or so is when prices changes? Now if I was to cancel the flight and then rebook it separately, then you risk this happening right? Now when you do this, you automatically get Jetblue Travel Bank right so this isn't preferred? Does the same apply when you make a change it to and thus modify it? I believe the same applies as well? Do people here check the price daily after they had booked a flight previously just to check if price went down so they rebook the same as lower cost and get the Jetblue Travel Bank? Or most don't bother with this?
