BA impact from US traffic declines - Canada has seen ticket sales fall 70%

The conversation in another thread about the hit Donald Trump's policies have had a flight bookings has got me thinking.

According to OAG forward bookings from Canada to the US are down 70% year on year.

One would imagine it won't be just Canadian carriers being affected. One would presume there will be some impact on European transatlantic traffic, whether that is businesses hit by tariffs or tourists deciding to pick alternative destinations.

BA is hugely focused on US routes for its long haul business. Do people think we might see a shift in focus away from the states, could it even mean an opportunity to open (or reopen) some alternative destination that have missed out in the past because of a lack of wide body frames?
