Hello, folks. I suspect the answer is No, but wanted to check with people more informed than me.
Purchased: Two Separate Tickets.
1. Aegean Airlines: JTR-ATH (first flight of the day, departing around 6 am), so it should have overnighted at JTR and arrive by about 7 am in Athens.
2. Turkish Airlines: ATH-IST-DFW (one ticket), Flying Business. This flight departs around 10:30 am.
Now, we should have about 3 1/2 hours of layover in Athens. Question, being two separate tickets, but on the same alliance, would Aegean be willing to thru-check our bags all the way from Santorini to Dallas?
I know they are not obliged to, but was wondering if theyd do it as a courtesy. Flying Business on Aegean as well from JTR-ATH.
I appreciate the feedback and thoughts regarding this. It wasnt ideal, but TK wasnt in the mood of selling us one ticket with the Aegean leg included, so I am willing to take the risk on the first flight of the day snd let the cards fall where they may.
cheers,
