Does anyone have any experience with flying Qatar and completing their medical forms before flying? My partner needs oxygen when flying and normally, we get in touch with the airline when booking, send over their form and we have no issues with flying. BA are always pretty organised with these kind of things and having the approvals well in advance.
We're going on honeymoon in September and flying with Qatar. They have said that we can only submit their medical forms for approval 7 days before flying. I managed to get an email for their medical team to try to discuss with them and get an indication on whether the oxygen will be an issue but just get a cut and paste response sticking to submission 7 days before we fly.
Does anyone have any experience of how quickly Qatar turn these forms around and what options are offered if Qatar say that we can't fly? It's making us quite anxious that around the time we're getting married we're going to be needing to chase our medical team here and the medical team at Qatar and have no indication as to whether we'll actually be able to fly until a day or two before our journey is meant to start.
