Does this plan to hit Gold work?

Hi all, my spouse and I are based in Los Angeles but we have family in Italy, so we typically fly there 1-3 times per year. We've got status with SkyTeam, but with ITA switching to Star Alliance in 2026, we're looking for a good way to achieve Star Alliance Gold (while still having most of our US domestic flights be Delta/SkyTeam) and figure Aegean Airlines seems doable. I'd love to get y'all's feedback on our tentative plan to make sure I understand the program.

(Note: assume all flights are round trip and in qualifying fare classes at 100% accrual)

Year 1 (Silver)
- Sign Up Bonus: 1,000
- VCE - ATH - RHO on Aegean: 3,200
- LAX - CLE on United: 4,100 (it's 2,050 actual miles each way)
- LAX - ORD on United: 3,480 (it's 1,740 actual miles each way)
- Purchase for €50: 500
- Total: 12,280

Year 2 (Gold) - Assuming ITA is part of Star Alliance with similar accrual to others
- LAX - FCO - VCE on ITA: ~13,190 (it's 6,340 + 255 actual miles each way)
- VCE - ATH - ?? on Aegean: ~3,200
- LAX - CLE on United: 4,100
- LAX - ORD on United: 3,480
- Purchase for €50: 500
- Total: 24,470

Year 3 (maintain Gold)
- VCE - ATH - ?? on Aegean: ~3,200
- LAX - FCO - VCE on ITA: ~13,190
- Total: more than 12,000

Am I missing anything or is this a relatively solid plan? Thanks in advance!
