If one criteria for where to live in the world is a location with access to a great airport (or airports), what cities/locations/airports would you put on that list? A great travel city might be defined as having some combination of good non-stop and/or connecting flights to interesting destinations, good prices in economy and/or business class, LCC regional flying options, cheaper fares for alliance RTW tickets, reliable service, easy airport access, a pleasant airport experience on departure and arrival, maybe even a city where you could easily build loyalty to an airline or airline alliance. And if pricing is very important, are there some cities/locations/airports that float to the top of the list?
Cities like London, Singapore, Tokyo, Dubai, New York, and Los Angeles can obviously offer the flights, but are they the places you would choose as great places to fly from with good experience and pricing? How about Bangkok, Milan, Barcelona, Zurich, Istanbul, Taipei, Miami, or Vancouver? Or how about a place that may not have many international intercontinental flights but has enough regional flights to large hubs and good pricing so you can get lots of places via an easy connection, maybe Denver, Cairo, Saigon, or Malaga?
