LH415 delayed because of a bird

Never had this happen before but my flight is delayed because there’s a bird on the plane and they can’t seem to catch it. Now the bird is in hiding and not even an estimate departure time anymore. It’s the last flight of the day and I hope crew doesn’t time out.

I wonder if EU 261 applies. It’s certainly rare but I don’t think it’s extraordinary since they are in control of all the doors! It’s likely that the bird came all the way from Munich.
