Hi all,
I've got an upcoming jolly to Tokyo planned for end of June.
I'm planning on getting the Sunrise Seto up from the sticks on the Friday night - just need to make damned sure I'm at my computer exactly 1 month before at 10am when the tickets go on sale or I'm screwed LOL.
Flight back is booked for last flight of the day on Sunday from HND - eg hard core weekend timez :)
Few quick questions if I may asking the wisdom of the crowd...
1) I'm mulling over trying to fit in a whirlwind visit to Numazu on the way up - the Seto passes through at god forsaken o'clock - I need to be in Saitama by 5pm at the latest - Belluna dome concert.
2) I've got lodgings for the night at the Keio Presso Ikebukuro (breakfast included for just under 2 man) which appears to be pretty damned decent rate - as I understand it coming back from a Bellunda dome concert it's about the best placed hotel I could get ?
3) Anyone got experience of going to Bellunda dome events - from what I've read the most direct / easy route is the Seibu line from the Seibu terminus underneath? the Ikebukuro Seibu Department store - doors open 15:30 with 17:30 kick off - by what time should i be leaving town to make sure I'm not panicing to find my seat etc ? (e+ App ticket so no worries that side..) How bad are the lines are Seibu Kyuujyo Mae on the way back to town ? From what I've ready there is NOTHING out there (apart from maybe extortionate vending machines) so seems appropriate to take a few supplies so as to not get dehydrated. Apparently it's a open air sweat house.
4) On the basis of Ikebukuro station - any advice on good places to eat / call in take out probably 8 - 9pm I guess ? Preferably large hamburger places or yaki niku or the like that aren't too rowdy but not $$$$
5) Other potential things to fill up the time -
I guess the the below will be determined by whether I try to fit in a trip to Numazu but in my 40's trying to do Numazu from 4am after probably little sleep and high tailing it to evening Belluna dome concert seems a little OTT...
- Want to visit Team Lab Planets after visiting Borderless in December
- Trip up Sky Tree (Yes I've never been even after 10 years here...)
- Visit to Akiba (yes I'm a 40 something anime nerd why would i NOT go )
- Visit to Gundam Base in Odaiba (probably last thing of the day combned with TGI Fridays before going for my flight)
- Looks like I might need to upgrade my work machine as Apple has obsoleted all but 2 intel mac's - likelihood being no OSX support = need to upgrade for liability insurance...= Apple store timez...
- Is Harry potter worth the time / money ?
Thanks for any input
