Have the A380 cabins been refurbished BOS-LHR

I asked this last year but we have another trip planned for Late July

We've never flown an A380 and are going to London in late July from Chicago. It always looked like a cool plane that we thought would be worth flying on at least once. We can fly nonstop from Chicago on either American or BA 787-900 or fly to Boston to connect to an BA A380. Watched a few you tube videos on the BA A380 and several mentioned the cabins desperately needed a refurbishment and are dirty.

Need some opinions is it worth it to connect and fly the A380 in its current state ( or have their interiors been refurbished?). We are flying Economy main cabin.
one other option is fly ORD-YYZ and connect to a BA A350 (which we've never flown on either but not sure its worth the hassle) We were pretty happy on the BA 787 in one of the last three rows we paid for the 2 seat by the window and it was decent last year.

Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts. I'm not that seasoned of an air traveler on TA flights and need to help make sure my wife is as comfortable as one can be in coach.
