Club Europe - Special Meals

Hi all,

I've a friend who will be making a CE journey with me on a Band 3 flight in a couple of months. For medical reasons he's going to request a "Bland" meal in MMB.

What are Special Meals like in CE? I can't imagine there's huge demand for them; are they actually ET special meals, just served at the front of the plane? Or something different?
