Hi,
I'm a Silver that bought two premium economy tickets for my parents on Feb 4th. At the time of booking it said seat selection was free so I chose 2 seats, both ways between LHR and AUS. Once I paid for the ticket it said it couldn't book the seats but the ticket was issued. When I went in to try seat selection again it now charged me £356 for the seats which I begrudgingly paid because there were only 2 seats together shown.
I called to complain and they said it was because I wasn't on the booking, which was correct... Then why does it tell me that seat choice is free and the cost is £0. This seems like a bait and switch tactic. Call center said I should make a complaint as they couldn't do anything. I've done this twice and both times they just close the complaint with no resolution.
Any ideas on how to proceed?
I feel like if I'd known the price was going to increase £356 I may have booked another carrier.
Thanks,
Japes
