I was in the F dining at MIA for about 3 hours, the alarm went off twice on separate occasions.
The staff said someone was smoking and it happened too often, they would no longer care about that. As they said, the announcement was made after the second incident saying smoking was not permitted in the lounge.
I wonder if such passengers are permanently banned from AA lounges. I recall there were other alarm incidents in the same lounge in the past. Those people should not be allowed to use not only lounges but also airports.
