Hi folks, dunno if this has already been covered here, but I normally get gold status courtesy of the Amex Platinum card. Annoyingly, as Im going to be staying at some Marriott properties for some upcoming trips, my status has been downgraded to silver which is where I currently would be if not for the Amex plat.
When I called Marriott, they said it was an Amex issue so when I called the Plat concierge, they told me the the Marriott account they have on file linked to my Amex plat has a different number to my bonvoy account? This is strange as its been correct and linked properly ever since the creation of bonvoy and was working back when Marriott and SPG were separate. I also had an SPG account along with the old SPG Amex UK, that got converted to a bonvoy
amex and has been linked ever since. At first I thought the different account number Amex had in file was my old SPG account number but checked and nope, not the same either!?!?
Has this happened to anyone else and how long did it take to resolve?
